Mobile Device Setup

University staff can connect to the wireless network from any Android or Apple mobile device using the procedure below:


Wireless Settings

From within your Wi-Fi settings menu on your mobile device:


  1. Select the UW_Staff wireless network
  2. Enter the password for this network, which is: staff-worc (you only need to do this once)
  3. Open your web browser and navigate to a new page
  4. You will be redirected to a login screen which will prompt you for your university username and password. (You need to do this for each browsing session)

Email Settings

You can set up access to your university email and calendar on you mobile device by:


  1. Accessing your Email app in Android or the Mail, Contacts, Calendars menu in General Settings for iOS
  2. Choose Add Account
  3. Enter your account details when requested. These will be your university email address and password

Email Manual Settings

If your device does not automatically detect your settings, you may need to set up your account manually using the following information:


Username: Your university IT account username


Password: Your university password


Email address: Your university email address
